That's an understatement. I'm confused as to how we go about putting these promos together. I had never heard of AeroSvit before looking on this forum.

From what i know, AeroSvit is one of the more horrible airlines to fly on. I actually posted this deal about 2-3 months ago in the Other European Airlines forum but did some research on this Ukranian carrier and it seems that it's a pretty crappy company. They are trying to take a bit of a market share away from DL and Aeroflot to Kiev and Moscow, and I think that this "partnership" with B6 is their attempt to entice people to book with them.

I wouldn't.

Did you mean AeroSpit?

I hope that's a pop culture reference that I just didn't get, because otherwise I might just take exception to that.

Anyway, Aerosvit is OK once you get on the damn planes. The problem is that their route management is so bad that sometimes a plane just isn't there to fly on. Hey wait, doesn't that sound kinda familiar?

THE PERFECT PARTNERSHIP!

As a Ukrainian citizen I'm happy to hear it!

I've never flown AeroSvit before so I can't make a comment on thier service.

But I would imagine that like anything else out of Eastern Europe, its still in development to get to the western standards.

I wonder if this is an official agreement between the two, jetBlue and AeroSvit is a very odd combination.

I posted about this on Airliners.net a while ago.

And, having flown the airline multiple times, other than the food, flight attendants (there are some great ones, and some.. well.. ehhh..), seat pitch, fellow passengers, and staff attitudes at KBP - it's really not that bad.

Hehe just a little bit. I dunno, I think I would embarrassed to have a press release saying that my airline had come up with this promo with AeroSvit. It sounds more like a SNL skit than reality to me. :)

With most large airlines already part of existing alliances, which B6 currently doesn't play with, future airline alliances for B6 will involve these relative small and country-specific airlines that operate no more than one flight a day into JFK.

I'd venture that 75% of the international traffic into JFK is on major airlines; that severely limits who B6 can partner with. Aer Lingus seems like a potential partner but that is probably the biggest one B6 will partner with.

Others, if any, will be more along the lines of the AeroSvits of the world.

Of which, as evidenced in Terminal 4 there are many

Air India
Aer Lingus
Uzbekistan Airways
Kuwait Airways
Air Tahiti Nui
and the list goes on..
