Hi
I remember staying there for 125..130 EUR (flex rates) a few months back. When I tried to book a couple of one night stays at these hotels - flying either AF or KL and would have to spend a night at one of these airports - I'm seeing rates in the 180..200 range for flex, even though one stay is in early may and the other in mid june.
Strange. Did these hotels' categories get upgraded, or is there some kind of extra heavy airport traffic in CDG and AMS around then?

I can sometimes find flexible rates for the week-end around 130 EUR at the CDG Hilton. During the week, it is usually in the range you quote : 180-200 EUR and it has been that way, in my personal experience, at least for the past year.

I checked my HH rates for last year and the minimum rates were 160 euros for the Hilton Amsterdam and 110 for the Hilton AMS Airport. This year they appear to be 180 and 135 and these are hard to find. Personally IMO they are not worth this and I will probably be staying elsewhere.

Yup - friday to sunday is 130..140 EUR including tax. The rest of the week is 200 EUR. Silly me, most of my previous bookings at the hilton cdg were friday - saturday, didnt count that as a weekend stay.

The hilton at ORY is 130 EUR though. Of course ORY is quite a way from CDG and just as much in the middle of nowhere as Roissy is. RER to Antony + the special train to ORY might be an idea ..
Similarly, transiting through FRA, I take the S-Bahn for half an hour to Mainz, and there's the dated, but nice, with a lovely location, Hilton Mainz on Rheinstrasse.
If I _have_ to stay the night in FRA that is, which is rare - LH FRA-MAA is daily and around 11:45 AM, so I can usually connect the same day with a 2..4 hour layover from most destinations in europe and north america.
Unlike AF CDG-MAA which is still 3x a week (5x from winter 2007) but leaves around 10:30 or so, which means that I have to plan my departure carefully, and spend a night in CDG each time I fly AF. AF is well worth it though, newer 343 with far more comfortable Y than the old 744 LH has (which recently got new C, but I'll wager still the same old gray and yellow Y backbreakers).

Boy, am I experiencing the same. Earlier this week, there was a rate that I could have booked for 105 Euros. We only need one night after a flight into AMS and then leave for BUD the next morning. I was on the road all week and really tired in the evenings and I didn't book it.
I checked tonight and the same one night is nearly $300 USD! Sh*t....this is why I hate to wait when I see something like that...I don't know why I didn't book it. I'm going to hold off....if it doesn't come down, it certainly meets my threshold of using points. I would have to burn 35k points on a quick hotel night stay at the airport, but I'm not paying $300 for it.
Darn, darn, darn! Lesson learned.

In which case you say "forget it" and take your pick of one of several motels at anywhere from 40 to 100 euro spread all around schiphol :)
AMS? CDG? AF? KL? BUD? MAA? FRA? ORY?
Okay - I can cope with USD and EUR - but can't we have less initials on here - not everyone knows what you gusy mean :(

If you mouse over the "Help" in the "FlyerTalk" logo blue header line, one of the possibilities is "Airport Code Lookup." There are also a Glossary, FAQs, Guidelines and Rules, (TOS,) etc.
My high prices are at CPH... hotels are running higher occupancy rates, ergo they are charging more.

Sh*t means ....!
Just kidding....
I recheked the hotel again this morning and found 105 Euros again! I snatched that puppy this time! I also did not change my regular folio from 1 adult and put in the comment field "Traveling w/Spouse...Diamond Member--Spouse travels free w/member." If that isn't good enough, I don't know what else to do.
Thanks everyone!
