I have passing familiarity with jetBlue, having earned and burned exactly one award to date. You folks here are the real experts. I'm here because I'm good at keeping a forum focused and civil, and because I like jetBlue.
Another thing I'm known for is compiling a comprehensive FAQ exceeding 100k bytes for Southwest. So how about we join forces and do something really special? Your expertise and enthusiasm building on what I know about FAQs.
I have set up a framework, and only a framework, for a comprehensive jetBlue trueBlue Wiki FAQ at http://flyertalk.com/wiki/index.php/Category:JetBlue_TrueBlue
You folks are free to add and subtract questions, rearrange things, and supply the detail for each answer page. You will need to create a Wiki login, then when you click on a red link it will let you create that page from scratch.
This might seem a little intimidating, but fear not. You can begin by going into edit mode on the similar pages from the Southwest Rapid Rewards Wiki FAQ (http://flyertalk.com/wiki/index.php/Category:Southwest_Rapid_Rewards) and then copying that text into Windows Notepad or any other basic text editor. Working in Notepad, change the wording and bullet items to suit jetBlue. Then turn Word Wrap off and copy the entire text from Notepad to the Wiki edit window for the jetBlue page. The first time it'll be slightly tricky, but after that you will (figuratively speaking) fly through it.
If you are one of the old hands here, this is your chance to prove your expertise. Go ahead and do it. Impress me. Please. Let's show those legacy fans how LCC fans can take care of business. It'll be a modern-day barn-raising.
By the way, if you're thinking of asking me about all the formatting sequences that the Wiki can use, forget it. I simply don't know. Just look at how other pages are set up. Try different things until you get the result you are looking for. That's what I did on the Southwest Wiki FAQ. The main thing is the information content, because we can always adjust the formatting later.
I'll sticky this thread for a little while to get the ball rolling. Have fun, and I'll be watching your progress!
