Budget Travel - Hong Kong to India

I hope someome can help me....
I am looking for a direct flight between Hong Kong to India (preferably Mumbai or Delhi), it seems there is none existing, and the connections in KL or BKK are very long and it is annoying..... Has anyone done this journey or have any recommendations for this trip?
This part of my trip to Asia is for personal reason's, so am looking for the cheapest options.... :-)

Well, you do have two competing interests: "cheap" and "direct". If you do have a strict budget, you should keep in mind that you can fly this route using LCCs. Tiger Airways does, for instance, offer a flight from SZX to SIN, and you can take an Air India Express flight to three or four cities in India from there. Total cost is ca. $240 USD one way (taxes included)

As davidcalgary29 said, it can be done cheaply or conveniently, so you do have a choice.
