My family and i will be flying NRT/DFW on AA in F. I am Plat/Sapphire and my wife and son have no status. I would have access to the CX lounge but would my wife and son? Can someone who has been there reccently tell me abou the food and drink selection?

Is everyone flying in F? If so then the OW rules state that each person can access the lounge based on the F boarding pass(even though it's on AA).

The AC is nicer than the CX lounge at NRT T2. So you will be downgrading yourself by going to the CX lounge. But Emeralds are allowed 1 guest, not 2.

Thanks for the information. The CX web site says the new cx lounge is based on the Pier in HG. I just thought the food would be better as AA usually doesn't pur out a lot of foo unless its an FL.

JNRT AC is different. Not often that an AA lounge is better than a CX lounge at the same airport, but AA beats CX by every metric this time, including food quality and selection. Even the lounge location is much better for AA.

So I guess there's no dim sum or buffet in the cx lounge. I gues it will be the AC. Thanks for the information.

Is this the old one or new one? I went to the AA Admirals club in NRT before and find the selection of food there = sandwiches and cheese and crakers. IDENTICAL to the CX lounge. CX had Cup noodles as well.

I was in the Admirals Club two weeks ago. I did not find the CX lounge, but the Admirals Club was very easy to locate. The food is pretty much sandwiches, cheese and crackers, but the environment is very comfortable.

I know the old CX lounge was a bit ..... in NRT, but it is still pretty OK. Hopefully the new one is better

so as I read this, it appears that if you fly J from NRT to HKG on CX you can either use the CX, AA or JAL lounge...that is "equivalent class of lounge regardless of their frequent flyer status..."

anyone have issues with using JAL lounge with J ticket on CX from NRT to HKG? i was not aware of this oneworld rule before....

also, any updates on the quality of the CX lounge in NRT?
