Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - CDG-HKG with CX F, or LHR-HKG with BA F?

I know that CX has a strong CDG-HKG product, but I haven't been on BA from LHR for a while.

Opinions, people? :)

Interesting question... since the airport is also variable in your equation. CDG is not very traveller friendly.......

LHR is positively traveller unfriendly.

Since you're asking this on the CX board, I think the answer is obvious!

NEITHER...

As the FRA-HKG First Class fare with CX is around half of CDG or LHR. Also was there not there some post on this board that FRA would be the Launch Service for the new First Class Suites. Found The Proposed Schedule.

From 1st APRIL:

HKG-FRA . CX 289. Only on SUN, TUE and FRI. only till 8th MAY

That's hardly a concern.

There was a day long ago in which CDG was a worse place than LHR. No longer. LHR is the pits.

I would choose the CX flight from CDG for carry-on reasons alone.

I can't believe I forgot about that.

I believe EU carry-on rules will harmonize towards the ridiculous UK standard in May. hairpeace may not be able to find refuge in CDG. (I may be wrong about the timing.)

Ha ha ha. I guess we have been digressing too much in this conversation. So Hairpeace, can you tell us why you are choosing between LHR and CDG in particular ? Where are you actually travelling from ?

I thought EU only had the liquid rule but not the 1 carry rule???The liquids restrictions are already in place. See this post for the coming change in May:

Are we supposed to be impressed?

No, of course not. Jealousy, you common "people", you are supposed to show jealousy.

That's hardly a concern.
Did anyone else think of Johanna Lumley? :D

I am going to close this thread because it doesn't seem to be going anywhere..

OP asked a question and though as vague as it may be, the answers were just as vague.

Perhaps it would be wise for OP to refer to current Trip Reports to conclude for herself as to which airline would be best suited for her instead of letting others decide for her.

Thank you all for contributing to this thread.
