Booked 2 F returns London-Australia for the end of the year. Did it over the phone as I wanted to price various open-jaw options. There doesn't seem to be any way for me to access the booking online. I'm BA Gold, so want my points to go to that and not to the Marco Polo club. So is there any way for me to access my booking online to review seating options etc? I know I can call them but I do prefer to see seat maps and options laid out for me.

Unfortunately no.
You have to ask them what seats are available... and book through the CX res office.

Thanks Guy - thought that might be the case after searching here and on cathaytalk. Seems a bit primitive - anyway, when I was booking I was told that seat selection was not available for my flights yet. When should I call in order to reserve?

That may be good news as the flights may change to a 74A!

CX don't release seats for assignment until 6 months out from your flight. Ring back when that time frame comes around and you should be able to select seats.

7 Dec CX254 LHR-HKG connecting to CX103 HKG-CNS (J)
5 Jan CX138 SYD-HKG connecting to CX257 HKG-LHR
All Airbus flights so not expecting new F, but these are my first CX F flights - bored with BA F so decided to try something different to Australia.

HKG-CNS is a regional aircraft - it's ok.. but to enjoy the better Business Class, try to book to SYD or MEL and then connect to QF from there to CNS.

We looked into flying to SYD and connecting to CNS so that we could do F all the way.. but given that we're connecting at CNS to fly out to the GBR, we decided not to add an extra 6 or so hours to our travel time. We'll just have to slum it in Regional Business for that leg.
