Its surprising that the docket claims that B6 will fly the route with either a320 or e190.. At 2045 miles, i thinks its out of the e190's range!!!

I didn't read it in detail. Agreed that the E190 is out of the question for this market. The range in addition to expected high loads (especially if the service is not daily) will require an A320 on the route.

That's quite a long time to ride in the 190s. If we did serve it with the 190s it would have to be 1 stop, maybe FLL or MCO

They will be able to fill a a320 weekly no problem from boston especially with the new seating arrangements. Timeshares in AUA, especially the Divi resorts, are mandatory "saturday to saturday" stays.

MCO-AUA? I would be another great route for B6 to take advantage on for both Floridians and connecting passengers from the Northeast.

No, I don't think do that for one-stop from BOS-MCO-AUA isn't enough fuel on EMB-190. A320 is good enough capacity fuel to reached in AUA but, isn't not a problems at all. I think A320 can make it to AUA. I think it is good available to take on B6 from BOS-AUA during weekly. If B6 should be considering done it very well then will increase to became daily flight. If B6 is still pending from BOS-AUA. I think it is good strong O/D daily passengers.

There are only three way flyers out of BOS will take a one-stop to AUA:
1. Flyers save at least x dollars per flight. There are people who will pay a premium for no stops or connections. I didn't put an exact amount since it differs for everyone. I personally would pay 100-150 more especially for international flights. Domestically--> probably not too much more unless time was of the essence.
2. Everything else is sold out.
3. Jet Blue True Blue members who are dying to earn more points
This flight is going to be competing with US (sat/sun) and AA (3-5x weekly except september). Here's a good scenario for B6 my parents are entrenched in US dividend miles program. They timeshare every september in Aruba which requires saturday-saturday flights. (they can pay for extra nights mind you) They are having problems using those miles for offpeak flights (as in september!!!) to the island and are itching to switch to another program. It doesn't help that US has made schedule changes without telling them either. This is the type of customer B6 wins here!!!

I disagree with your mileage numbers; from http://gc.kls2.com/ :
BOS-MCO is 974nm
MCO-AUA is 1144nm
BOS-AUA (nonstop) is 1788nm

Ahh - I see the disparity - in post #9, you used the notation "nm," which means nautical miles. I think (but I'm not postitive) that your numbers are statute miles. :)
