Frontier Airlines Becomes First Airline to Connect Denver to the Sunny Beaches of Jacksonville with Non-Stop Daily Service

Frontier Welcomes Northeast Florida Travelers With Special Introductory Fares as Low as US$99*

DENVER, March 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT - News) today announced it will launch daily non-stop service between its Denver International Airport (DEN) hub and Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) beginning June 15, 2007. Prior to Frontier's new service, Jacksonville was the largest U.S. market without direct, non-stop service from Denver. In addition to Frontier's new service to Jacksonville, Frontier currently flies non-stop from Denver to four other Florida cities -- Ft. Lauderdale, Ft. Myers, Tampa and Orlando.

I've been waiting for this one for ages, between DEN-GDL and now DEN-JAX I might be forced to move some of my flying over to F9. In the meantime I'll be watching to see if UA matches these fares through IAD and ORD. JAX has been notoriously expensive over the years as compared to other Florida destinations. But yeah, This really has me excited!

I'm sort of suprised by this move on Frontier's part since their partner, Airtran, already offers this service. In fact, I'm taking FL to JAX (earning F9 miles instead of FL points, of course) this weekend for a biz meeting. I suppose the one difference, however, is that F9 will be the only non-stop service from DEN to JAX. My best wishes to F9 on this new route...

How about back to BOS?

No. I don't think F9 will not able bring back to BOS. Because F9 is already inaugural from DEN-BDL last few months ago.
