JetBlue TrueBlue - Jet Blue credit....never saw it?

Flew Jet Blue for the first time beginning of Feb JFK-SLC and had great flights both ways! First flight left a little late due to weather and the return was a redeye but again was very pleased with both. Only minor issue was my checked bag had its side handle completely torn off by an overzealous baggage handler on the way to SLC. After collecting my bag I went over to a very nice lady in the Jet Blue office and she took my tag off the bag, apologized and said she was giving me a $35 credit. OK no big deal...bag was under warranty so I was going to send it back anyway.
Went in to book another flight today, JFK-DEN and could not find any evidence of the $35 credit. Where should I see the credit? If by chance the "nice" lady forgot to give me my credit do I have any recourse in calling Jet Blue and explaining the situation?
Thanks,
Marc

The credit should be attached to your old PNR locator. If you still have that you can give that to the reservations number and they will be able to look that up. I'm not in reservations or airports so I'm not positive, but that is what they have done in the past. If you don't have the old PNR the agent *should* be able to look it up based on last name, flight, and date.

Yup, I actually just did something like this today. The bottom of one of my bags was ripped, so they gave me a voucher for it. She said it's linked to the PNR, so you have to call up to use it instead of being able to use it online (i.e., it's not linked to your trueblue number).

Thanks guys. Just spent about 30 minutes on the phone and booked the two new JFK-DEN tickets with the $30 voucher, which the agent was able to look up. He was very helpful but warned me the waiting time was long. No big deal.

I had canceled a JFK-SMF flight. And when I was calling to see the cost of moving my OAK-JFK flight up a day, I asked how much I had in my trueblue credit account. The CSR couldn't find any credit. Turns out after looking around for awhile, she found out that it was attached to my PNR and not my Trueblue account. She was nice and moved it over and apologized for the inconvience. The cancelation was done by a CSR over the phone, as the JFK-SMF flight was booked by a credit and couldn't be canceled online.

I bet if the rep was doing it in the heat of the moment or had others to do they may have simply put it on the old PNR by mistake. Easier to attach it to the PNR then look up each individual TrueBule Account number

I HATE vouchers tied to a PNR/itinerary confirmation #. Credits posted to TrueBlue are SO much easier to locate, redeem, etc.
I know there are legal/accounting issues that come into place, but wouldn't it make more sense to have ALL future travel $ posted to a TrueBlue account. If, for some reason, the money can only be used by THAT person and not transferred (for example, a voucher from a delayed flight VS. a credit from decrease in air fare) then the system should be able to differentiate the two with a unique code or something. I think customers would love that feature - as it would also help free up the phone agents with those trying to locate vouchers.

It is stored with the pnr under the 'credit shell'. You can use a credit shell as payment to another PNR. I know this is doable through skyspeed on split payments but I don't know if the jetblue website itself has this functionality.
