Will be staying at the Plaza Athenee in Bangkok during an upcoming trip. I know they offer Internet access in the rooms for a fee. Do they offer free wi-fi in any of the public areas like the Westin Grande?

Yes, at least in the Club Lounge (Club Athenee).
