Hi,

Congratulations on ( on soon to be) reaching Diamond. that is very quick and diamond status will be good through April 2009.

Have you just stayed at one hotel or a mixture ( I assume you are aware that a maximum of 100,000 bae points can be earned in one stay)

Regards

It's not from a fast-track challenge, is it? ;)

How exactly did you do this - if you don't mind me asking?

I did, but it wasn't legit, it was an error on their part. It was good for them though, I haven't let it lapse since, one gets use to the treatment.

28 stays, 60 nights, or $10000 spent. It's certainly feasible. With fast track, it's even easier...

I work in mgmt consulting and essentially have no life. 80+ hour weeks with constant travel.

March 9 to May 3

Requalification via Diamond Challenge

Mutual Fund account

10 stays = 12 nights (2 stays/4 nights for spouse; 8 stays/8 nights for me)

Four of those stays are award stays.

Total spend = ~$700

I love HHonors!

Hmmm.

As of Feb 2007, Diamond until April 2008.

One stay.

Now Diamond until April 2009.

Love that rolling tier! :)

And you are even proud of it?

I requalified with two three days points at the Waldorf Towers in January on points. Much more comfortable.:D

I made Diamond from scratch....

Starting with 0 on September 25
Qualified for Diamond on January 15

I would have made earlier but did not travel for 3 weeks due to our annual shutdown during the XMAS holidays. No travel at all from December 11 to January 2nd.

Still 15 weeks total or 12 weeks with the XMAS break

28 stays
43 nights
49,511 base points

During that time I also had 21 nights at other properties mostly SPG. After making Diamond, SPG comped me platinum.

To date at HH since starting traveling last September (24 weeks)
44 stays
68 nights
77,111 base points.

I need to get a life.....at home

Not in consulting...IMHO. The only difference between Partners and Entry Level staff is the significantly larger annual income. We all still have no life outside of work and travel ;).

Anyways, I'll be making Diamond in a little less than 10 weeks via base points. New York rates are getting really high with spring approaching.

Pretty much matches mine - started on 9th October and made Diamond on 19th January - since Oct 9th I've earned 143,520 base points, all but 1,800 from one property. Going back there tomorrow!

I'm new to Hilton and only have silver status because of my amex cc. How does the OP get diamond status for 2 years? I understand hilton has a rolling tier, but I understand it to be diamond status until April 2008. Please enlighten me.

As stated in numerous threads regarding the rolling tier, status earned or renewed at any point in 2007 is good for the rest of 2007, all of 2008, and the first four months of 2009.
