Just went to make a summer booking and found out they've lost their lease, and the building will be converted to apartments. I've been staying here on and off since my first Seattle trip in 1992. It's been a hostel for 20 years.

It had an ideal location, right down from the Pike Place Market, with pretty decent water views and free wi-fi.

Two news articles from last month:

though not too surprising considering the location.

I too stayed there several times when I had a Victoria Clipper connection to an early morning flight back to Houston or when I got in late and had to catch the morning boat.

Hope they find a new location, that was a good hostel.

I was going to stay there two years ago but opted to stay at a hotel nearby SEA instead. I arrived in SEA past midnight and had to be up early at 7am the next day. It's just more convenience for me.

Now I regret I didn't stay there as it seemed interesting from their website.

Though I did stayed at the HI Vancouver Downtown on the same trip. It was my first hostel experience :D
