New Ways to Earn Elite Status

Everyone knows it takes 15,000 flight miles to earn Ascent status and 25,000 flight miles to earn Summit status, but we know not everyone is able to fly that many miles in a calendar year. So we're adding new ways to earn Elite status.

Earn Ascent or Summit status based on the number of flight segments flown in a calendar year.

* 25 flight segments =Ascent status
* 40 flight segments =Summit status

A flight segment is defined as one takeoff and one landing.

Earn Ascent status by using your Frontier MasterCard®.

* Spend $60,000 in a calendar year on your Frontier MasterCard and earn Ascent Status

Qualifying for Ascent or Summit status by segments and Frontier MasterCard purchases will be retroactive to January 1, 2007. This means any flights or purchases you've made since January 1, 2007 will count towards earning status in 2008.

* You may earn Ascent status by using a single method of Flight Miles, Flight Segments, or Frontier MasterCard purchases. You may earn Summit status by using a single method of either Flight Miles or Flight Segments. You cannot earn Summit status using Frontier MasterCard purchases. You cannot combine Flight Miles, Flight Segments, or Frontier MasterCard purchases to earn Ascent or Summit status. Only one method of calculation for earning Ascent or Summit status in each calendar year (January through December) may be used.

The features vsevolod4 posted have actually been in place for quite a while. Nevertheless, reminding folks what benefits are there can't hurt!

I'll certainly be earning Summit status for a third year, but it will be done with way more than 25,000 BIS miles.

If anyone ever doubts the value of Frontier's Early Returns program, consider this:

This Friday I'll be heading to Chicago for St. Patty's Day. Two R/T tickets, two nights in the nicest Marriott in town... all for 25,000 miles. Try that on a legacy carrier.

Looking forward to seeing my favorite airline soon-

Thanks Frontier!

On a side note, we all know F9 screwed Jack in the election. Penguins... please. :td:
