Now it will be interesting to see how the pricing for those flights compares to the codeshares on Dragonair. (as of right now they haven't updated the schedules on their website - checked for November and still show the late night times)...

The flights are now loaded in the airline reservation systems, like Sabre. The CX and KA fares look exaclty the same. MU has fares that are less.

The new PVG times fits perfectly with both O and D and connecting traffic. It arrives at 3, which is perfect for the 4-5pm departure flight bank to nearly all destinations in Asia, North America and the Middle East. Now let's hope that they will reschedule their PEK flights so that it would share a similar schedule. After all, why would an airline schedule 2 PEK flights within one hour (4:50pm and 5:50pm) three times a week?

I still prefer KA as they have so many more flights and I change my flight schedules quite often.

This is great news!

CX 367 looks quite nice although it cuts the day in two. For us out of towners anything out of PVG before 11am is somewhat of a PITA requiring 6am departures or similar.

I received a shock when I tried to switch from a CX flight to a KA flight from PVG a few weeks ago. Was told I had to go have my e-ticket reissued to paper stock. They told me had I had a paper ticket, it would have been no problem to switch to a KA flight, subject to availability.

KA is still KA, CX is still CX. On "subject to availability", you should be able to use seat guarantee.

Thank you for the update, christep, as being able to go direct and still earn miles on a CX flight is a positive benefit. I have added this flight to next month's itinerary.

11.30am is a bad time to arrive at PVG IMHO. It is one of dozens of flights that get in at around that time and in my experience very crowded immigration.

On most days, CX's many flights are in fact operated by KA - which may cause some minor problems when trying to accrue FF miles on other programmes other than Asiamiles.
