Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - SOT - Getting from HKG-CAN

I'm transiting through HKG in April on my way to Guangzhou, where I'll be staying near the airport. What is my best way to get there?
- Bus from HKG (how often do they depart from HKG and do they go to the airport in Guangzhou?)
- Train from Hung Hom
- Fly (is this just Dragonair)

It depends on your arrival time at HKG. The flight is actually China Southern although various people have codeshares on it.

Hi, there are 12 trains a day in each direction between hung hom (hkg) and can (guangzhou) first class fare is y190 at station or y290 if you buy on english speaking website. u will arrive in can at east train station, right across from Ikea and in a large expat area. u can catch airport shuttle bus from here or taxi wll run about y140 rmb. have a nice trip. i do this one a lot.

If you are trying to go during the Canton Fair these trains can be sold out. If that ever happens to you you can take the subway to Shenzen, cross the border and then take a local train from Shenzen to Canton (or hire a car from Shenzen for around RMB600).
