Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - CX online check in for e tickets issued by other airlines

Hello,

I am due to fly out on CX104 on Monday (under 48hours) time, and am wondering if I can check in online. The flight is a JL award flight, so is issued by JL. I am an Asia Miles member, and did ask for the number to be included, but they were unsure if they could do this.

I have tried to check in, and the system cannot find my booking, so I tried checking in as a non member, and it asks for ticket number, beginning with 160. As the e ticket is issued by JAL, it begins with 131.

Am I able to check in online (I would love to select my seat asap, as J class is very full), or do I have to do this at the airport.

You need to have your Asianumbers on file before the system can find you. It doesn't matter who issued your ticket. As long as you have a reservation, you may do on-line check-in. But without your asiamiles number on it, you may have to do it at the airport.
