Budget Travel - Round Trip NYC to Las Vegas

Does any one have good advice on getting the best deal at

this late date, for a departure on Tuesday March 13th ?


I'm open to all considerations.

You are joining an army of first time posters who do not read the sticky thread at the top of this forum :td:

Read this before posting (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=565617) with a certain departure date sounds exactly like a fare request .....

That said, I'll share with you that there's pretty much no way to get a decent airfare with less than seven days advance purchase :(

So my only suggestion is to drive (yes, I'm serious if you have the time), or hope that maybe Southwest might have something around $500 range, which would be excellent given the short notice.

Otherwise just plan earlier. LAS is one of the cheaper destinations around, so with a little planning ;)
