Marriott Rewards (including Ritz-Carlton) - 130k California Property

I am looking for a recommendation for a 5-7 day (depending on points required) stay at a resort property or MVC within a 5 hour drive of San Francisco. I have 130,000 points to use.

What are you looking to do during your stay? Are you interested in wine tasting, golf, spending time in a spa, or being at the beach? Your criteria is rather vague. Five hours from San Francisco could be 300 miles away. I am not as familiar with resort properties in California, but others could help you if you provide more specifics.

I'm interested in a resort-like setting where I basically would be chilling by the pool, and using hotel amenities. It would be nice if it was close to or on the beach. If there's interesting sightseeing nearby, that's great but not essential.

If you insist on driving there is a very nice resort in Lake Tahoe.
If you would take a 1-1/2 hour plane trip there is a couple of great properties in Palm springs/Las Vegas
