AirTran Airways A+ Rewards - A+ Reward Credit Question

I'm a bit confused...I know on other airlines u get credit for segment flights (by way of the miles), but in the case of AirTran do u get an additional credit for each stop?

AFAIK, you get the 1 credit for the whole one way flight, no matter how many segments.

While in general AirTran awards one credit for a one-way trip, no matter how many segments are involved, I have received more than one credit when the first segment (a red eye) was on one calendar day, and the ongoing second segment was on the next calendar day.

Did you call AirTran so that they could correct the problem and remove that extra credit?:p haha

Did your whole first segment take place in one calendar day, then have a layover during midnight, then have the second one the next calendar day? Or did the first segment take off one day, fly through midnight, end, then the second one start the next day?
