Has anyone flown JFK-YVR-JFK in Y recently?
Any service reviews?
In particular: flight departs JFK 11pm. Any dinner? Mid-flight noodle snack if I ask nicely?

There is a full meal service after takeoff from JFK, in fact this is the main meal service for the JFK-YVR-HKG route (the meal out of YVR is smaller). Never flown Y or J on this route, so no idea about snacks but it is only a 6 hour flight!!!! After a full dinner at midnight, how many snacks can you eat before 5 am (2 am YVR time)?

I'm greedy, I love noodles, and I'm in training for a tennis tournament, so I need my nutrition :)

The noodle snack in F is great (up their with their chinese chicken soup), but isn't the Y snack like those "cup of noodles" instant foods that you add water to? You could bring a dozen of those on-board with you and just ask for hot water.
Lol..... dont have too many cup noodles as a sports diet. however, usually there are ice cream and sandwiches. Sometimes there is a hot panini-like buns for the later transpac trip.
But, usually I cant help but ask for a cup noodle as that is usually my only 1 or 2 for the year. bad bad for a swimmer. (technically the ice cream is bad bad too). Sometimes, mysteriously there are apples or bananas tho.

No mid-flight noodle in Y, after dinner, they have to start with duty free, same applies to YVR-JFK. However, if you ask nicely, they may give you the amenity kit though.
