Miles & More (Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, and other partners) - miles credit for award flights

hallo,
last week I flew first class on an award ticket. If I would send my bourding passes to LH, would I get the miles for that flight? maybe they do not recognize that this was an award flight!

spare the postal costs.

(sometimes, automatically, miles from award flights may be credited. Happened for me on upgraded tickets, that I got the higher class credited when a acheck-in agent had to change a segment of my connecting flights because of a late arrival .... This might also happen with award flights).

They usually require you to send in the ticket and the orginal BPs. With the ticket, they know you did not pay for the flight.
If you only send in or fax the BPs without the ticket, they will check the trip on the screen and see it was an award.
Also, it would be a clear fraud.

No chance : the boarding pass show up the booking class.

Miles&More classes are O (First) , I (Biz) or X (Coach) .

There are many easy ways to get points that benefit both you and the airline--no need to push anything fraudulent IMHO.

What about status miles for award flights?

I never didn't make an award travel yet, but since they are looking for your usage of LH, status miles don't seem to be out of question.

there are not status miles for award flights. Status miles only for actually paid miles.

What about cross-using reward flights? Can I send my LH M&M reward flight BP to Mileage Plus?
