Any comments on the latest inside flyer promo?

3500 Diners Club Points per subscription?

As has been discussed in some earlier threads in May and June this is a good deal if you plan to use the Diners points for BA miles conversion during the current promotional period. With other airlines this is equivalent to 1750 miles for $60 or 3.4 cents a mile. With BA this will be 1.7 cents a mile during the current miles for points even exchange promotion (essentially double miles). With BA it is a good deal for buying miles.

I have a question that deals with InsideFlyer Magazine and is related to this topic. How can I know when specials are offered? Take for instance how they were offering 2500 miles on Continental for every subscription recently. Is there a way I can tell on insideflyer.com or webflyer.com if that offer is being offered again? I check the sites and I see nothing on the Diners Club promo. If I type in insiderflyer.com/Diner I get the promo info, but is there another way to tell it is being offered? Or should I keep a watch on Flyertalk.com? Thanks for the help

I presume you did not elect to be notified by FT of offers and promotions? Well if you chose not to receive them, they are respecting your wishes implicitly it seems. I am emailed these things in a most timely manner, as are most folks I imagine. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

ozstamps, thanks for the quick reply. I think that's it. The thing is how do you get notified by FT to get their specials? Is it under insideflyer.com webflyer.com or Flyertalk.com? I am so sorry for the basicness of the question. I am still learning. Thank you so much for the help.

It's on the WebFlyer site - lower left corner - newsletters.

Actually, with the new WebFlyer design, it's on every page in the upper left. There's a field where all you have to do is type in your email address and click submit.

If you're thinking of taking advantage of this promotion so that you can then transfer the points to British Air - it may be too late. As the people at inside flyer will tell you - transfers can take from six to eight weeks. And the Diners Club BA promotion ends on August 31st (six weeks from Saturday).
