Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Updates On New Seats

folks, some updates of the new seats on CX website...

a new statement was posted on the new seats page.

"Customers will have the opportunity to enjoy Cathay Pacific's new long haul seats on select North American flights beginning in late 2007."

I bet perhaps 77W gets the new seats first?! and SFO and JFK are the first routes to get them????..........

My dad told me that he read somewhere that they are adding 1 more flight to YVR starting this summer.....but it will only operated for 3 times a week......dunno if it's true..................

Anyways, it's a shame that the new seats are postponed by 1/2 yr......

You're suffering a logic failure here. That quote only talks about when the seats will be available on some US routes. It says nothing about when they will be available on other routes.

Could be the same thing as last year, when they flew a seasonal 3xWeekly "charter" service for the increase in students.

rubbish..........obviously the quote means that the new seats will FIRST appear on NA routes in late 2007.

Have to agree with the OP's interpretation of the notice. I would read that as the first new seats coming out on some NAm routes late 2007.

Quite keen on trying the new Y seats, with no more recline-in-your-face action...

Late 2007 can mean as late as Dec 31 2007. :)

As Guy Betsy has reported from a CX source in another thread, the first new F/J seats are currently scheduled to debut on regional and European flights late in March. This is entirely consistent with the statement on CX's website.

On the CX italian website there is written "From January 2007"
