Miles & More (Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, and other partners) - No more EWR-MUC...

EWR-MUC will not be resuming. Instead, LH will have a new JFK-MUC flight this March. MUC-LAX and DUS-EWR will also not be resuming, as of now. SFO-MUC will, BOS-MUC looks unlikely now, but MIA-MUC still looks possible. This is all preliminary,

Interesting - and because of Delta's fare increases out of MUC, also some sort of tempting....

Strange...they start back the MUC-service with a flight to Newark on March 2nd:

On March 31st, with the beginning of the summer-schedule, the flight changes to JFK:

DUS-EWR and TXL-IAD are now definetly gone as it seems. These recently were both still bookable from March 31st onwards. Seems that LH has now put together their summer-schedule and loaded it into the CRS.

LH's full summer schedule is not entirely in yet. Look for extra dailies to IAD, LAX, BOS, and JFK, and they are going to wait to see what Austrian/Lauda does before starting MIA-MUC.

Confirmation from justplanes.com Airline-News as follows:

LH will not resume Munich to Newark service instead Lufthansa will run the service to New York JFK.
Schedules as follows :

Flights will be operated with an Airbus A340-200.

LH 450 FRA-LAX seems to be back starting May 5, B744 LH 416 FRA-IAD seems to be back from May 15, A 343 LH 410 MUC-JFK starts March 2 with A 343 LH 420 FRA-BOS seems to be back from March 31 LH 458 MUC-SFO starts April 1, A343 LH 448 FRA-PHX seems to remain a thrice-weekly flight 744's from MUC seem to be history, all longhauls ex MUC are switched to A 340 LH 726 MUC-PVG starts April 2
