Nonetheless, very easy: just buy tix (for cash, either US$ or Mex pesos) at airport when you arrive CUN. If you're ready, get on next plane to HAV. Schedules for Cubana and Click (Mexicana) easily accessible on internet.

Mexicana told me on the phone and at ticket counter that they would only accept credit cards issued by a Mexican bank. (I did not inquire as to their policy for other routes.)

I believe Jamica is another common third-party county for entry into Cuba - both Air Jamica ( www.airjamica.com ) and Tropical Airlines (876-968-2473) have flights. Anyone know if the latter is still operating?

I do not know the regulations but AA do operate directly from MIA to HAV. For example American Eagle Flights 9528 and 9529 today.

These flights are for those who are visiting families and who have proper paperwork from US government. Not sure if non-US residents are allowed on those flights.

I've seen Cubana Soviet era jet at SJO many times. IIRC, Taca flies there form SAL and Copa from PTY, and I'm sure there are others.
