I need a car for a day in Copenhagen, DK next month. I looked at the tariffs and fell off my chair. It comes to around $150/day all inclusive. I know that the car industry (owning, renting, leasing etc) is supporting the welfare system, but not to this extent ;)

Any recommendations as to the best I can do in CPH? I saw renting the car in the city was cheaper by 350DKK, but the hassle of finding the location and getting back to the airport is not worth it or maybe I am mistaken

Try renting it on a weekend day.. it's much cheaper that way. $150 is what I'd pay for a single-day rental in the middle of a week in Germany for a large-sized car.

The airport's only 10 kms away from downtown. Hope that helps.

Thanks for your response. I finally went with easycar. They were $78 all inclusive (incl CDW and taxes) for a week day.
