Hi,
We are heading to the Seychelles next week on an AF FB award. This will only take us into Mahe. Can anyone tell me what site they used to book their inter-island transport? We are heading to Praslin first. I did email the ferry service and haven't heard back. Anyone else have any luck? Thanks.

Most transfers are best flown and Air Seychelles (http://www.airseychelles.net/)runs a busy schedule of inter-island flights. The exception is Praslin to La Digue which is a short ferry ride easily booked from your hotel

Just noticed this order thread. Having just returned from the Seychelles, I can attest that it's very easy to go from Mahe to Praslin. Air Seychelles operates about 11 or so daily flights between the two islands. The price is about 120 Euro rountrip, and the journey takes all of 15 minutes...
One can also make the journey by boat, but note that the sea can be rough, and people often get sea sick on the boat, not my idea of fun (that's why we paid the 25% premium and flew to Praslin instead of taking the Cat Cocos (http://www.elegantdestinations.co.uk/seychelles/seychelles_transfers.htm)high-speed ferry.
The Praslin-La Digue ferry is now also handled by a high-speed ferry (instead of the old schooner that used to serve this route). Not sure of the price (as it was included in our excursion), but it took less than 30 minutes. Note that pax sitting upstairs along the sides may very well get wet (which we actually enjoyed, seeing as it was a hot day).

I was also in Seychelles this year and take Air Seychelles from Mahe to Praslin. It isn't worth your time loss and small savings to brave the boat trip.
The ferry from Praslin to La Digue is a quick trip. We did have rough seas on our return from La Digue to Praslin and we were very happy we didn't have to brave the boat trip from Praslin to La Digue.
If you are worried about saving a few $$$ by taking the ferry over plane to Praslin then Seychelles probably isn't the best place for your pocketbook.

Can anyone else attest to having the same experience? I am so sorry the other posters had this experience and am just wondering if this is all too common. For those already on Mahe, it seems like a pain to have to take a taxi from hotel to airport, wait around, then flight, then another transfer. Wouldnt the boat transfer be faster and more scenic? But, it seems that if seas are rough, it isnt worth it.
