Asia - Maldives

Has anyone been to the Maldives in either April or May? I was looking at taking a trip there, but apparently that is the start of the rainy season, and now I'm not so sure. I don't mind the occasional shower, but that is a long way to go from the USA to have every day rained out. If someone could provide advice, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

April should be mostly dry. It usually start May/June.

Try looking at the official meteorology site (http://www.meteorology.gov.mv/)for the Maldives. But unless you can't stand warm tropical downpours that last a few hours and then clear, it shouldn't be a problem.
