Hey guys! Thanks for the help in advance. I read all the Sabah threads and there hasn't been alot of information. Thanks for those who took the time to write travel reports.

I am heading out to Sabah for the Chinese New Year and I haven't done any planning. Although, I am a seasoned traveller I figured I would do some planning at last minute since a) it is the Chinese New Year and b) My wife doesn't share the thrill of not having any plans.

Flying into KK on a Sunday and leaving on a Friday. I would like to see some nice beaches and do some diving and the wife would like to see some nature (eg. Orang Utan Sanctuary or similar).

Any feedback/insights are welcomed! Thanks guys (and gals)!

I am heading there with my wife in a few weeks...we will go to Sukau Lodge on the Kinabatangan River and check out the wildlife for a few days...then head back to KK and stay at the Tanjang Aru Shangri-La resort for a few more.

Hear the diving in Sipadan (south of Sandakan) is world class...but my wife doesn't have her license.
