Also, why don't noticed NW will be pissed when F9 is come in at MEM. IT would be direct competition with UA, NW. I can't imagine either NW has been enough capacity to LAS. How many NW flights does fly from MEM-LAS? I think 1 or 2 fligths? ilkhats44 Feb 14, 07, 8:35 pm Good news, maybe fares out West will go down. Frontier will be operating out of Terminal C. Daze Feb 14, 07, 10:04 pm DEN-MEM is a no-brainer for F9---UA and NW are flying only CRJ's on this route. This is one of a growing number of situations where F9 has the most or only full size planes vs. the competitions Rj's. Edge to F9 for all but elite travelers, and they don't want to ride a CRJ with no F either. Duckman Feb 15, 07, 2:51 pm Great news for Memphians. New non-stop option to Vegas is cool. Luckytri Feb 16, 07, 12:37 am I go to LAS every Labor Day, so I will be waiting to see what happens to fares. We only have 1 non-stop that deaprts around 7:30-8:00p.m. All other early arrivals require a connect thru MSP or DTW. mizzou miles Feb 19, 07, 1:53 pm And here is the predicted, heavy-handed response from Northwest! They dont mess around.... huge frequency increases, double miles.... typical of NW! http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/070219/20070219005420.html?.v=1 Northwest Airlines Announces Expanded Service at Memphis Hub and New Indianapolis - Denver Service Monday February 19, 2:25 pm ET MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Northwest Airlines today announced that it will enhance and expand service to Denver, Las Vegas, Orlando and Seattle from its Memphis hub as well as add new daily service between Indianapolis and Denver. Duckman Feb 19, 07, 7:21 pm So now Frontier will respond by cutting MEM fares even more? :) N830MH Feb 26, 07, 9:00 pm So now Frontier will respond by cutting MEM fares even more? :) Yes. Madhouse24 Apr 2, 07, 1:17 pm I was so glad to see Frontier in town now ^ :D I have always said northwest is soooooooooo unhealthy for memphis with that stranglehold they have on the city... now f9 can give them a swift kick in the butt... not only have they been around doing battle for a while.. they also have strenght in air tran.. so if this doesn't realign prices to the "right" side of the fence, I don't know what will... I just hope in the future they will keep the prices resonable and not do the same thing that northwest has done.... Duckman May 22, 07, 2:44 pm Now that the Memphis flights have begun, how are the loads? |
