I'm planning a trip set to leave in about 3 weeks from MCI to LAX. I was wondering when the best time to buy tickets would be. I know certain airlines will drop ticket prices at the 3 week interval from the departure date.
The current price for the flight I was looking for is $284 with taxes and fees. I checked FareCast and on Feb 2nd they were $140 each. Is there any chance the price will drop significantly after this point?
Thanks in advance.

I would say at this point its highly unlikely. There is always a slight chance it can happen but I would lock in the $284 while you can. The lower fare classes are more than likely sold out and since MCI-LAX is a very popular route for Midwest, I dont see the fare going down in that 3 week period.
Hope that helps and welcome to FT!!

You can probably hold out till next week because I am sure that Midwest will run another Fare Sale, it seems like they do them every 2 weeks

Thanks for the quick replies! Is there anyway to see the available seats when you are using midwestairlines.com? I've seen that other airlines allow this, but I couldn't find it anywhere for Midwest.

It's a good fare - I'd also lock in that fare while you can - seach Flyertalk and the Midwest forum to see if there is a current promo code that will give you 10% off the fare before you book it however.

That's a good fare. I'd been paying between $215 and $250 RT from SAT to DCA, and a little less with the % off coupon code.

If you go to Midwests website now, there is 15% off all flights, so this flight would be down to 240 now
