Asia - End of May Taipei Hotels

I may have to visit Taipei for business purporses during the U.S. Memorial Day Weekend. I've been to Taipei several times in the past but never during this time of year. Just wondering if end of May is peak, shoulder, or low season for hotel rates there and whether or not I should book in advance?

I've never had trouble getting a hotel during this time.

Thanks! Haven't noticed any fairs or conventions taking place there during that time of year so I suppose it shouldn't be a problem.

Does get full sometimes, but rarely a problem unless you just turn up. Great breakfast, great staff, rooms spotless etc. Near what used to be the "incontinental" (near "the zone" - not that there's much action there these days).

Agreed this is a decent hotel, but as of late I prefer the Taipei Fullerton Hotel. It's a business hotel which is extremely clean, decently priced, and better located to the "downtown" business areas.

I've been staying here for about five years. It's close to the Taipei 101. It's clean and has good service.
