What is the easiest, cheapest way to get from Paris to Nice? We looked into flights and they were about 200 US and for one day within country railpasses in France we found it for $130.

Is there anything cheaper???

Thanks

Easyjet flies to Nice 2x daily from Paris Charles de Gaulle and up to 5x daily from Paris Orly. By booking well in advance, you should be able to get these flights for as low as 40€ incl. tax.

Take the train - you'll have a nicer experience. As to price, look on this SNCF (http://www.voyages-sncf.com/leisure/fr/launch/home/) (French Railways) website for best offers.

It's in French but the English language version does not give you the same promotional options

I agree with farci that the train is a really nice option for this trip. You can get much better fares on that site than on an American based site like raileurope. You're a student, right? You can probably get great deals by using your European address to book tickets.

Here you can see the SNCF website in English (http://www.voyages-sncf.com/dynamic/_SvHomePage?_DLG=SvHomePage&_CMD=cmdHomepageUK&WB=HP&rfrr=4685ac17fd2e7656e4918c53b246a3f7)

You can get promotional fares on the TGV train (the high speed one) and the regular train if you reserve any "Prem's" ticket well in advance (but not refundable nor exchangeable).
With Prem's the fare can be as low as 25 Euros one way.
You can also have some percentage off if you travel in two or are under 25.

If you have any trouble going throught the website let me know.

Otherwise Easyjet is also a nice option.
