Thrifty is one of the only off-site companies at the Reno, NV airport, but they're rates are usually cheaper. Don't be fooled. First, they often seem to run out of cars ... we rented an SUV, but got a full-on van that cost me $100to fill the tank up.
Second, they may lie to you. We had a 6 am flight, got to Thrifty at 5am (when they told us they opened). No one was there except a mob of angry people (who thought my big ol' van was the ride to the airport, by the way!).
There was one poor guy trying to take peoples cars back and then drive them to the airport in a small SUV 4 at a time.
I threw my keys at him and told him to use the van while I walked with my luggage to the aiport (about 10 minute walk). Never again. I sent a nasty note but got no response.
