ARGH! I just realised I need to get ziplock bags for next week. I have no idea where to even start looking for them here in UK.
Anyone UK based who know what shop chain might have such things?

well, of course bot hhad shut by the time I got to them. However, Tesco Metro had them so I picked them up in there. Realizing I had not checked what size I should have I bought medium and large, only to come home and realize I should have gotten SMALL!
Oh well, I'm sure I can make use of these in some way or another.

A bit late now I guess, but for future reference I like these bags with zips (http://www.lakeland.co.uk/product.aspx/kitchenideas/containers!10918_10917) from Lakeland. They sell an impressive variety of small plastic bags (http://www.lakeland.co.uk/SearchResults.aspx?kw=freezer+bag). And they also sell all sorts of things for the kitchen that you never knew you needed much to my husband's annoyance :D .
They have a shops, including a new one in Bath (your profile says BRS), or you can do mail order.

I don't remember Lakeland but I do remember Kitchens. I'm inbetween BRS and BHX these days. Actually, closer to BHX really.
Anyway - got the small sized bag now. I'm sure the big ones will be of use for both kitchen and travel :-)

At LGW recently they were handing them out as you entered the liquid-and-sanity-free-zone.

I'll bet that Tesco and Safeway have a selection of them.
And you can always get a tasty sandwich to go, too. I prefer the Chicken-Bacon Baton....
