Is anybody in Canada using Sympatico Unplugged? I'm interested in a review.
Sympatico Unplugged is a proprietary Hi speed Internet tool allowing you to access the Internet (Mbps) on your own account anywhere there's cell phone coverage through a small, portable wireless modem on protected frequencies.

I got my first box about a year ago when they asked me to beta test it, and have 3 boxes in total now. It is brilliant!

Speeds are fantastic, and I have had no reliability issues. I travel with one and a linksys travel router for wireless internet access. I have 2 people who work for me who use the box in the Edmonton/Sherwood Park area. It is a fantastic alternative to being stuck behind other peoples firewalls and not being able to use our email or remote desktop in other peoples offices. The software we run needs a specific port open also, which is almost always closed elsewhere.

It is also great for watching my slingbox (which I do quite often now waiting in airports) or using my Vonage account.

I also gave a review in this thread last year - http://flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=568121&highlight=sympatico

Since then I have used it in the Toronto/Mississauga/Burlington area all with great results, as well as Edmonton, Vancouver and here in Calgary.

Thanks Winger. Think I'll give it a try.
