TIA ScottC Feb 10, 07, 11:33 pm Screen is way too small (resolution). At 800x480 it simply isn't good enough for real work. The fact that Woot was selling them a few weeks back at $799 means they are not selling all that well. At a resolution that low even the simplest of applications are impossible to navigate around (internet and outlook are terrible on it). If you really want/need a UMPC then check out the OQO 2 (same low screen resolution, but far more advanced than the Q1) or the Sony UX series (1024x600). jmsoros Feb 11, 07, 3:16 am I've been looking at the Q1, the Sony UX and the OQ02. I like the looks and feel of the Q1 as I really like the 7 inch screen, but the Q1 does not come Vista ready and it appears to not be as good as the other two BUT it is a lot less expensive! The Sony UX screen is too small as it is 4.5 inches. The OQ02 screen is about 5 inches and I have not been able to locate it in stores so I haven't seen it yet. Has anyone actually found the OQ02 in a store and if so who carries it as I want to play on it and see if I like it. Thanks. OQO devices are sold through their online dealers only (and on their own website). |
