My kids are flying UM on B6 to the grandparents at PBI. Mother just called all frantic because the airport's in lockdown, and no one is being allowed in. She says planes are diverting and not being allowed to land. Flightaware shows plane still inbound as normal. What's up?

WEST PALM BEACH — All entrances and exits to the Palm Beach International Airport are currently shut down due to an investigation into a possible suspicious incident.

Official started stopping cars at PBIA entrances shortly after 10 a.m.

Airport spokeswoman Lisa de la Rionda says the airport remains open for private aircraft and general aviation. However, all commercial flights are currently on hold and passengers on their planes won't be able to take off until the situation is safe. Parts of the terminal have been evacuated.

Airport spokeswoman Lisa de la Rionda says the airport remains open for private aircraft and general aviation. one of these days, the bad guys are gonna figure out that with all their hidden financial resources and how screwed up our gov't is in "following the money" (remember 9/11?), private jets will be their aircraft of choice-way to go pbi  , what if the bad guy was in fact on a private jet-money talks and the terrorist escapes  . morons

from a pax: I don't really think of West Palm Beach as a terrorist target, reality check dumb-dumb
