Hey all - this may have been posted about some time ago, but I just found out about it, so thought I'd post for anyone who still has QC1s. I was going to purchase replacement ear-pads (for $45 incl. shipping), and instead was offered this program. It's a great deal - saving $200 off the retail $300 price. All you do is contact Bose tech support, get an order number and ship in the old QC1s, and they ship you QC2s in their place!!!!

I was thinking of dumping my QC1s on eBay until I found out about the exchange offer. The QC2s are much nicer. If you look for some on eBay, the requirements of the exchange are the QC1s must be in good working order.

Yes, this was posted a few months back, and when my QC1 headband broke, I thought I would try for it. I called in to Bose and said, my headband broke, can I get a replacement? They said, maybe, depended on stock. I then inquired about the 99$ exchange program, for a pair of QC2's, and the rep said, there was NO exchange program. I went on to question it, and said I had heard some people had received such a tradeup, when their items where broken. Nope,

so, I got a new headband for now, for 7.00$ shipping. I may try again later.

Did you try saying "thank you" and calling another rep?

It is now February 2009--Bose tech support offered me an exchange of my QC-1 to QC-2 for $100 plus tax. Not a bad deal, especially since my cat decided to chew the earpads and cable to shreds!

zippiguy welcome to FT!

I traded my QC1s in and really like the QC2s. It's definitely worth it. I have tried the QC3s and don't care for the on ear style.

I would do this with my last pair, but I have used them nearly, okay now MORE than a decade and they have probably done 1.5MM miles with me. even thought for onlye 100$ I could upgrade this last pair, I still like to carry them with me.
