The Caribbean - Going to Curacao - local ideas?

I'm heading to the Curacao Marriott the first week in May on a Honeymoon, and was interested in some local flavor. Looking for ideas for people who've gone (restaurants, bars, clubs if any, transportation ideas). I've search through most vacation sites so far looking for feedback, but everything focuses on the hotel itself. I want local food, mingle with the people. :D

So who's been? From searching I noticed a few people have travelled to this hotel, but it's been a few years. The wife is also interested in swimming with the dolphins and possibly some scuba.

I searched tripadvisor on Curacao and the Curacao Marriott. There's a little more information on that forum.
