Travel Technology - Samsung Blackjack Owners.. Sound Quality?

I recently purchased a Blackjack phone from Cingular. It's advertised as an mp3 player with Cingular Music and video hardwired. The problem is, the audio output is horrible. The phone, web and email are very good, but audio through the headphone port (with a cheap adapter) is just lousy. Anyone else have a similar experience?

I'm guessing you have one of the $5 ebay adapters, I just got one myself. I have to agree, the sound quality is inferior. However, the cingular branded earbuds sound quite good. I had ordered the adapter thinking I would return the earbuds, but now I'm reconsidering since the sound sucks. I would prefer non-earbud headphones (they don't fit my ears very well), but I may be stuck with them.
