I'm going to be in Vegas for the first weekend of the NCAA Mens Basketball Tournament this March (14th - 18th).
Just wondering which casino had the best sportsbook to watch the games?

I personally like Caesars Palace.
I also used to like the 'dust; but that was more for nostalgic purposes --- since it was the first one in Vegas.

It will be crowded where ever you go since it is also St. Patrick's Day on that Saturday. Generally, I go to the LV Hilton, because they have more prop bets.

MGM Grand has a heck of a comfortable sports book for watching games.

Bellagio, if you can find a seat. I believe guests can reserve those lounge chairs, otherwise it's a free for all.

An off-Strip alternative: the book at the Green Valley Ranch Resort: Individual TVs at each seat, five movie screen-sized video walls, and fifty 50" plasma TVs (opened in October 2006):

Best Sport Book comfort-wise Mandalay Bay
In terms of accessability The LV Hilton has one thing no otherS have you can drive right up park at the back door run inside and make a bet in seconds.
Ballys is also nice because of the "stadium type seating"
Personally I can understand the affection shown for Ceasars.
Too dark ( though they have lightened it up) and god-awful small red lettering scoreboards.

I can't understand the affection for Caesars either.
It's too dark.
I enjoy walking thru it but I can't imagine spending any extended time in there.
Mandalay Bay and Bellagio top my list.
I also like the Suncoast.
Plenty of lounge seating with a view of the TVs right next to the book.

The sports book will be packed wherever you go. If you're not there early -- at least a couple hours before the first games start -- you will have a difficult time finding a seat. At least this is the case at the nicer sports books.
I'll second MGM. Caesar's is big, but dark, too. If you're hungover, it's not a bad set up.
Don't go to NYNY. Its sports book is ridiculously small for a hotel its size. And the ESPN Zone is worthless, unless you want to buy an ESPN shirt/hat/bumpersticker.
