I just put a city pair served by Spirit into the Global Award table, and it gave me mileage levels for awards , 25,000 coach and 40,000 first. Therefore, I speculate that awards on Spirit may be available now or shortly.

Don't get too excited. The site will give you mileage award requirements for lots of city pairs in the USA - cities NOT served by Spirit or any other LatinPass carrier (and not served by USAIR, either) .
For example, The GlobalPass site says I can get an award ticket from Appleton, Wisconsin (ATW) to Chicago or Minneapolis (or anywhere else in the USA) for 25,000 miles. ATW is served by United, Delta, Northwest, and Midwest. Period. It is not now and never has been servied by any current or former GlobalPass/LatinPass carrier. Not SPIRIT, Not USAIR, Not TWA. So how do I use GlobalPass miles to fly from there?
How can they advertise (back in December) that SPIRIT was going to become a member, and yet, as of a week ago, could not say when that was going to take effect?

As of 10 a.m. eastern time this morning, Spirit award tickets are still not available, and GlobalPass cannot say when they will be available.

I contacted Spirit Airlines and they were tightlipped about it. It should be noted that they did not deny anything.
