American Express Membership Rewards - Transfering Reward Points to Continental double/triple?

About a year or so ago I remember seeing Amex having a promotion where they would give 2 (or 3?) continental ff miles for every Amex Point. Does anyone know if they still do this, and if so how often/around what time of year?

There was a thread about this not too long ago on the CO forum, with a post from COInsider, our CO executive who monitors the forum. This promotion is currently not going on, nor is one planned for the near future.

Last bonus from CO was 20% or 25%. I took advantage of it. They haven't done 2x/3x that I've ever seen. That would cost AMEX entirely too much.
