The saga of trying to get these tickets:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum30/HTML/000190.html
issued on an expedited basis:

Feb. 26: T/C w/LatinPass. LatinPass tells me I can have the tickets expedited for a $40 per ticket fee.

Same day: Fax cover letter with copies of credit card and driver's license.

March 7: Call to find out why my tickets have not arrived and why my credit card has not been charged. Told by Amelia that credit card charges were processed the previous day, and that tickets would definitely go out that day.

March 7: $28 charge posted to credit card.

March 9: $80 expedite charge posted to credit card.

March 15: T/C w/LatinPass to find out why I have not received tickets. Told by Amelia that tickets were mailed March 14.

So why is it that I spent $80 for expedited delivery?

Latinpass is basically useless for USAir and KLM reservations I'm convinced (unless arranged 9 months in advance).

I just got off the phone with Cloris, the reservations gal and since the move they have been having troubles with their US Air system. I believe that's why you're having troubles getting your ticket.

Amelia is very good at telling you nothing, I believe that is her job description. She's nice about it and all, but I don't see any use in not providing useful information.

I'm sure Latinpass is useful for getting flights very far out, and maybe short notice flights to Latin/South America on the core airlines, but otherwise, forget it.

Just get a ticket for any date on USAIR then once you have the ticket call US Air directly and change it to the dates you prefer.

Has anyone really had any luck with this? Please post your experiences if so.

Handwritten US tickets on Aces ticket stock arrived yesterday, a mere 20 days after my request for expedited delivery.

An interesting possibility. I don't know that I can afford to try this way though. I tried to do this last year and USAir wasn't helpful. They said I needed to go back to the issuing agent to make any changes. Maybe I should have offered to pay money, eh?

tfjim: you might recall

LP issued my tickets last week with the original return date. However, both USAir agents and virtuallythere.com have me confirmed as returning on my preferred date.
