MilesBuzz! - United Offer For 3,000 Easy Miles...

Did a search and didn't see this offer, but I received a postcard in the afternoon mail today that directs you to the link below. It looks like a pretty easy 3,000 miles, for the first time use of ANY non-flight United partner between now and August 31. The small print advises that the offer is valid for recipients of the postcard only, but that's what eLoan said as well... :-)

How do you register?

Well hey, that does look easy. I'm staying at a hotel partner next week, so guess I'll give it a try! United is my second choice, but I'm near to a free ticket with them now. Don't know if I'll ever make elite status again, but they do get the "leavings" from my trips, and I have flown some with UA for many years.

Think I'll start to pay more attention to their promos (like some of the far-east ones) and consider a mileage one to get first-level status this year.

I already participate in the Dining program, how can I get this bonus? (I of course didnt get the postcard)...

The fine print on the webpage says, "Offer valid only for the recipients of the mailing featuring this offer." So it looks like you don't register for this promo... THEY register YOU.

This doesn't belong in MilesBuzz, as it is United only and appears to be a targeted promo. Please look for further comments in the United forum.
