Miles & More (Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, and other partners) - V Class -> I Class Upgrade normally gets you Y miles?!

I fly MUC-SFO frequently and often upgrade the V class ticket to Business I. When I do that I normally see then Y miles on the Miles and More Statement for the upgraded flight as I need to spend 50k Miles for the upgrade (instead fo 35k).

On my last flight a couple of days ago, I did an upgrade again and I only got the V class miles on the statement. Did anything change in the rules?

Funny question regarding "the rules"!
The rules are, that you get what you´ve paid for => miles for "V"
It seems that now LH (after reading about this loophole with getting miles for "Y" after upgrading) closed this possibility.

Perhaps if LH audits your account they will retroactively claim back the miles credited in error in the past ?;)

I made the same observation when upgrading from D to O last week. In former times the booking class appeared as C, now it appeared as D. Obviously the improved their system.

This is not a good news.... I understood that they increased the miles needed for an update in exchange of 150% milage credit....:(
