American Express Membership Rewards - Are there bonus MM offers for upgrading to Platinum

Currently have Gold, but am thinking of upgrading to Platinum. Larger annual fee is a little hard to swallow, but I think that I travel enough to justify the extra cost. Has anyone recently received bonus miles for upgrading? Thanks

Thanks MIA. However, I am wondering about specifically for Platinum. I tried calling to find out, and they said that they typically don't, but if I knew someone that had a similar offer that they would match. Was confused by this. What did they want me to do, give them someone else's account number. Anyway, if anyone has received bonus miles for upgrading to Platinum, could you please let me know the details? Thanks
