Mexico - Hotel recommendations for a dive trip to CZM

I'm going diving in CZM in early March and have been searching the boards over at Scubaboard.com for hotel recommendations, but I figured I'd try and solicit recommendations from the divers on FT.

I'm diving with Dive with Martin and would prefer to stay within walking distance of the city center -- but am open to recommendations.

try Locogringo too. As for Trip Advisor--let the buyer beware. You have to remember that these are personal opinions and ( sometimes ) fake ones from hotels themselves. Throw out the highest and lowest reviews. Look for points on the reviews that are meaningful to you--for instance, if hard beds drive you nuts and there are lots of comments about the beds being hard, the place might not be for you. I use Trip Advisor as part of my hotel buying information--but not all.

I agree with the comments on tripadvisor reviews, but I also consider the message forums there, too, which might help.
